THE EUL CONSTITUTION
The Constitution of Edo Union Leeds is the supreme governing document of our community. It establishes our identity, objectives, governance structure, membership obligations, and welfare provisions.

WE, THE EDO COMMUNITY
We, the Edo indigenes and their families residing in Leeds and West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, in our collective desire to unite, support one another, preserve our heritage, and improve the quality of life of our members, do hereby establish the Edo Union Leeds and adopt this Constitution as our supreme governing instrument.
This Constitution shall be binding on all members, officers, and committees of Edo Union Leeds. It shall be upheld, defended, and interpreted in good faith by all who serve and belong to this community organisation.

ARTICLES OF THE CONSTITUTION
The EUL Constitution is organised into eight articles, each governing a distinct area of the Union's operations. Click to expand.
Establishes the legal name, registration, and status of the Union.
- 1The organisation shall be known as EDO UNION LEEDS (hereinafter referred to as 'the Union' or 'EUL').
- 2The Union is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan community organisation established for the welfare and cultural advancement of Edo indigenes.
- 3The Union shall be domiciled in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
- 4The Union may be affiliated to any national body of Edo people in the United Kingdom as deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee.
CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES AT A GLANCE
Non-Partisan
The Union is strictly non-political and non-partisan. No political party or agenda may be promoted through the Union.
Inclusive Membership
All Edo indigenes in Leeds and West Yorkshire are welcome. Spouses of members may join as associate members.
Democratic Governance
All leaders are elected by members. Decisions are made by majority vote. No single person holds unchecked power.
Welfare-Centred
The welfare of members and their families is paramount. The Welfare Fund supports members through hardship, illness and loss.
Cultural Preservation
Edo Union Leeds is committed to preserving and promoting Edo culture, language, and heritage for present and future generations.
Transparent Finances
All funds are jointly managed by the Financial Secretary and Treasurer. Annual financial reviews are mandatory.
